After a three week hiatus from our normal Thursday meetings due to the trip to Nicaragua, we are back and at it as of last night, February 2nd.
We started the night with a reading of Psalm 78 as a replacement for musical worship.
The bulk of the night centered around the students, in small groups, reading and answering what we called x-ray questions. These questions were meant to help discern patterns of the heart, and therefore reveal to the students where some of their idols and sinful tendencies could be.
The attachment contains an excerpt of an article that the questions were drawn from. There are 35 total. I highly recommend that you read these questions often, and that you (parents) would be asking your children questions like these and probing the depths of their hearts.
The purpose in a man’s heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out (Proverbs 20:5)
